Dil Hai Ke Manta Nahi

Robin Diaries /Dec 2025/ Delhi

It feels so good to get back to writing after so many years. And what a topic that has triggered this thought, “Dil Hai Ke Manta Nahin.”

Dil aur Dimag are two very essential parts of our life, you can say two sides of the same coin. I feel the same correlation in the compound words like dawa-daru, hawa-pani, roti-kapra, and so Dil aur Dimag. Technically, they are so different, but since ages used together, do not know why. In what logic dawa and daru can be compounded together? One cures and one lures! I feel the same for Dil and Dimag. All critical problems in this world are because of Dil, and still it has got the audacity to remain together with Dimag and supersede. Many times, I feel Dimag is like the stepney in my car. It’s there, but do not remember when last used. Jab tak lagti nahi hai, I mean puncture nahi hota hai. Dimag is not used at all.

The missing pages of my life

Robin Kumar Das Dhaka Diaries /Aug 2021

Learning from small incidences and life experiences is the most important part of our living. And I have seen the best learning comes from the interaction with your children’s. There is always a unique way a child responds to a certain stimulus. The most important characteristics of these responses are that they are honest about what they feel. They will not hide or shy away from reacting to things that matter to them. The top five emotions of human beings are joy, fear, sadness, disgust, and anger. And the children’s responses to these are the promptest and straightforward.

Unsung Heroes: Freedom Fighters of Bangladesh who fought for India’s Independence.

Robin Kumar Das /Dhaka Diaries /Sep 2020

Episode 1 – The Chittagong Uprising

Across the globe, reminiscing about the life and sacrifice of our freedom fighters and brave soldiers is common way to show the love for nation. We remember their valuable contribution on our National Day Celebrations, they are part of the curriculum in schools and sometimes a very good script for the screens. Whenever I see a story on the freedom struggle, the first feeling that crosses the mind is of being fortunate and lucky. Born in a free country, enjoying all the” Fundamental Rights “, leading a life devoid of any fear. Having the right to pursue a career, live and work for the betterment of family and ability to add value to the society around me. What would life be if I am not born in a “Free Country “? This single feeling increases my respect love and admiration for these brave hearts many folds.
