Robin Diaries /Dec 2025/ Delhi
It feels so
good to get back to writing after so many years. And what a topic that has
triggered this thought, “Dil Hai Ke Manta Nahin.”
Dil aur Dimag
are two very essential parts of our life, you can say two sides of the same
coin. I feel the same correlation in the compound words like dawa-daru,
hawa-pani, roti-kapra, and so Dil aur Dimag. Technically, they are so
different, but since ages used together, do not know why. In what logic dawa
and daru can be compounded together? One cures and one lures! I feel the same
for Dil and Dimag. All critical problems in this world are because of Dil, and
still it has got the audacity to remain together with Dimag and supersede. Many
times, I feel Dimag is like the stepney in my car. It’s there, but do not
remember when last used. Jab tak lagti nahi hai, I mean puncture nahi hota hai.
Dimag is not used at all.
Historically,
Dil and Dimag are clubbed together so that we can interchangeably and in the
right combination use them. Unfortunately, we are not trained to handle this
intricacy, and we always go wrong. Jahan Dil lagana tha Dimag laga baitha, aur
jahan dimag lagana tha wahan watt lagwa liya. The number of times Dil dominates
Dimag is much higher in our lives, and that creates all the hassles and chaos.
Dil takes the driving seat in both love and hate, and the stupid Dimag remains
a mere spectator. It just keeps analyzing all the consequences, but still
allows Dil to dominate, why?
The only place
where Dimag surpasses Dil is when it is about our life choices, it is about
things that will really make me happy. It is about those desired risks in life
when Dimag is in full action and alerting me with all the reasons why I should
not take that path. and those who took those decisions by heart are now Bill
Gates, Anand Mahindra’s, Zuckerberg’s, and Modi Ji's of the world.
I cannot
remember an incident where Dil and Dimag worked like Jai and Veeru of Sholay –
an iconic, inseparable duo of best friends. Their contrasting personalities
complemented each other perfectly, creating a balance of wit, action, deep
loyalty, and accomplishing the task.
Friends, enough
of this Dil and Dimag jugglery. Oh, accidentally I have found the right word
Jugglery Juggle primarily refers to the skill of tossing multiple objects like
balls, clubs into the air and catching them in a continuous pattern without
letting them drop. The success of jugglery depends on giving the right
importance to all balls at the right time. Can I be the best juggler of Dil and
Dimag!
Let us train
ourselves to learn this life jugglery of Dil and Dimag. If we do not learn it
soon, the loss will be irreversible. Careers would get screwed, relationships
would get ruined, and health would get compromised! To summerise life ki waat
lag jayegi!
Happy Living!
Robin

ReplyDeleteLove to see u back again , what a beautiful connect … truely inspiring
ReplyDeleteLoved every bit of it. But somehow I will always believe that dil aur dimag dono ek saath na hi rahe to behtar
ReplyDeleteThank you
DeleteThis really hits home. The way you’ve played with Dil and Dimag—mixing humour, films, Hinglish, and real-life truths—makes it feel raw and honest, not preachy at all. The stepney analogy and the jugglery bit stayed with me long after reading. It’s one of those pieces that makes you pause and quietly ask yourself, kaun driving seat par baitha hai? Beautifully written, thoughtful, and very relatable.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the encouraging words 🙏
DeleteGenuine attempt to ponder over a real life question sir !!! Ironically, the heart is “x” and the mind is “y” and both co-ordinates are needed for making the graph 📈!!!
ReplyDeleteThanks Vijay , well said
ReplyDeleteThought-provoking writing that honestly captures the everyday struggle between heart and mind.
ReplyDeleteThanks
DeleteDil ki suno Naukri karo, Dimag ki suno entrepreneur bano. Lekin chalti dil ki hi jyada hai kyunki bachpan se hi suna hai, Padhai mein dimaag lagao aur kaam mein dil. Fir connection kaise baithega.😜🤣
ReplyDeleteVery interesting writing Robin and humorous too. Thanks for sharing.

DeleteWhat a comeback to writing! Thought-provoking, honest, and beautifully expressed. The Dil–Dimag jugglery is real, and you’ve articulated it so well. Keep writing—this was a joy to read.
Doxab, concept assimilated very well, the way its been explained; now please write on "How to Train" too, that part will complete the blog ....
ReplyDeleteSure I will
ReplyDeleteBeautifully written. This takes one back to an era where emotions were simple and honest. Interestingly, even in business relationships, decisions aren’t always driven by spreadsheets alone—often it’s trust and human connection that truly count.
ReplyDeleteBut Dil ha ki manta nahi!
Well said Vinkesh ji
